About Ana-Maria Lungu
Ana-Maria Lungu was born in Bucharest, Romania, in 1985. She moved to Germany in 1990 and has lived there ever since that time. She received her first violin lesson from her father Ioan Lungu when she was only five years old. Her father has composed and still is composing musical pieces for her. During her school years, she sucessfully participated in different competitions such as »Jugend musiziert« (Youth Making Music) and played in several youth symphony orchestras.
Among her teachers were Professor Ion Voicu, himself a student of Yehudi Menuhin, George Moradian, and Professor Conrad von der Goltz. In 2009, she graduated and earned her diploma from the Hochschule für Musik (University of Music) in Würzburg under Professor Conrad von der Goltz. One year later, she completed her concert diploma with distinction. Afterwards, Ana-Maria appeared on the TV-program of the broadcasting company for the German Southwest and was recorded by the Bavarian broadcasting company. She also played at several regional and international concert events. During those performances, her vivacious temperament and striking interpretations conquered the hearts of her audience. Aside from her multifaceted concert and pedagogical activities, she also played with the Heidelberger Sinfoniker (Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra).
Since 2012, she has been the marketing and art director of Assumstadt Castle Cultural Association. She has successfully committed herself to promoting and developing young musical talent and make young people perceive culture as worthy of their attention.
